An aircraft flying above a well-attended California beach suddenly began spiraling uncontrollably, eventually dropping height and plunging into a row of palm trees as beachgoers watched.
Recordings shared on the internet depict the chopper commencing to spiral near the beach then falling in the direction of the perimeter of the beach, where it ends up lodged amidst palm groves and a steps adjacent to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Details
Emergency responders said five individuals were taken to hospital including a pair who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” after the incident on the weekend.
Three individuals on the street were hurt. Details on their condition were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
